This is the important content stipulated in Decree 89/2011/ND-CP amending Decree 87/2009/ND-CP on multimodal transport in Vietnam, issued on October 10, 2011.
Guidance on reissuing the international multimodal transport business license in Vietnam (Illustrative Image)
The procedure for reissuing the international multimodal transport business license in Vietnam has been amended and supplemented in Decree 89/2011/ND-CP as follows:
1. Enterprises and cooperatives as stipulated in Clauses 1, 2, and 3 of Article 5 of Decree 89/2011/ND-CP shall submit 01 set of documents requesting the reissuance of the international multimodal transport business license directly at the Office of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam or by postal service. The documents include:
- Application for reissuance of the international multimodal transport business license (according to the form in Appendix II).
- Certified copy of the Business Registration Certificate (if there are changes).
- Confirmation of the enterprise's asset value by a financial authority or equivalent guarantee (if there are changes).
2. Within 07 working days from the date of receiving a complete set of documents as stipulated, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam shall reissue the international multimodal transport business license to the enterprise. This license is valid for 05 years from the date of issuance.
Note: In case the application for reissuance of the international multimodal transport business license is improper, within 03 working days from the date of receiving the documents directly or the date stamped on the postmark, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam must provide a written response to the enterprise stating the reasons. (this is a newly added regulation in Decree 89/2011/ND-CP)
