Fuel Consumption Standards for Shore Power Generators and Automobiles Serving Search and Rescue Operations

On May 31, 2018, the Ministry of Transport issued Circular 35/2018/TT-BGTVT specifying the fuel consumption rates for shore generators and automobiles used in search and rescue operations.

To be specific::

Fuel consumption for shore-based generators

- Fuel consumption for shore-based generators is determined by the fuel and lubricating oil consumption based on the designed capacity, quantity, and operational level of the generators.

Fuel consumption for rescue operation vehicles

Circular 35 stipulates that fuel consumption for vehicles includes the consumption of fuel, lubricating oil, and transmission oil. The fuel consumption includes:

- The fuel consumption of vehicles is determined based on the designed capacity, distance traveled, type of road the vehicles operate on, and the age of the vehicles.- The lubricating oil consumption of vehicles is determined based on a percentage of the fuel consumption.- The transmission oil consumption of vehicles is determined based on a percentage of the fuel consumption.

Circular 35/2018/TT-BGTVT takes effect from July 30, 2018.
