Forms of work overseas of Vietnamese guest workers

Currently, it is common that Vietnamese workers go to work abroad. The Law allows workers to work overseas in one of the following forms:

1. Under contracts signed with enterprises providing guest worker services or with non-business organizations licensed to send workers abroad;

2. Under guest worker contracts signed with contract-winning or -receiving enterprises or with offshore-investing organizations or individuals that send workers abroad;

3. Under guest worker contracts in the form of skill-improvement internship contracts, signed with enterprises sending workers abroad for internship to improve their skills;

4. Under individual contracts.

To work abroad, the workers, as well as the enterprises and non-business organizations sending workers abroad under contract, the offshore-investing organizations and individuals sending workers abroad, must meet the requirements and carry the procedures as prescribed by law.
