From August 5, 2020, the Circular 75/2020/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Veitnam stipulating the application of disciplinary actions, processes, procedures, limitation periods, timelines, and authority for handling disciplinary actions against militia and self-defense forces will come into effect.

According to the provisions of Article 19 Circular 75/2020/TT-BQP on the application of disciplinary forms, order, procedures, statute of limitations, duration, and authority for handling discipline for militia and self-defense forces, the disciplinary forms applied when inadvertently disclosing secrets or losing military secret documents are as follows:
- Inadvertently disclosing secrets or losing military secret documents but not to the extent of criminal prosecution shall be disciplined by a reprimand or demotion.
- Inadvertently disclosing secrets or losing military secret documents in one of the following cases shall be disciplined by removal from post or stripping of the title of Militia and Self-defense Force:
Additionally, Article 30 of Circular 75/2020/TT-BQP stipulates that militia and self-defense forces will be stripped of their militia and self-defense forces title if they commit one of the following violations:
