Deadline for Specialized Religion Inspection Not Exceeding 45 Days

This is one of the regulations on the duration of specialized religious inspections stipulated in Circular 04/2016/TT-BNV issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on June 10, 2016.

Circular 04 has stipulated the duration of specialized religious inspections as follows:

- The specialized religious inspection conducted by the Government Committee for Religious Affairs of Vietnam shall not exceed 45 days; in complex cases, it may be extended but not exceed 70 days.- The specialized religious inspection conducted by the Department of Home Affairs Inspectorate shall not exceed 30 days; in complex cases, it may be extended but not exceed 45 days.

In addition, Circular 04 also stipulates the coordination in the implementation of specialized religious inspection activities as follows:

- When necessary, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs of Vietnam shall preside, cooperate with departments, units under the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Department of Home Affairs to conduct specialized religious inspections according to their authority.- In cases where the inspection content relates to multiple sectors and levels concerning religion, the Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs of Vietnam shall propose the Minister of Home Affairs to cooperate with relevant ministries and central authorities to establish an inter-ministerial inspection team.
