Conditions for Exporting Tra Fish Products

Pangasius exports must not only meet quality standards but also fulfill all conditions from processing and production facilities as stipulated in Decree 55/2017/ND-CP on the management of farming, processing, and exporting Pangasius products as follows:

1. Exported Tra fish products must be processed from a Tra fish processing facility that meets the following conditions for processing Tra fish:

- Complies with regulations on conditions for investment in business establishments for preliminary processing and food processing.- Meets the technical standards and regulations on food safety conditions in seafood processing.- Has a Certificate of food safety eligibility issued by a competent state management agency.- Maintains a traceability system that complies with legal regulations and ensures the ability to trace back to the farming facility.

2. In the event that an organization or individual exports Tra fish products without a processing facility meeting the above conditions, they must satisfy one of the following two conditions:

- Have a contract to purchase Tra fish products processed at a Tra fish processing facility that meets the conditions for processing Tra fish;- Have a processing contract with the owner of the processing facility that meets the conditions for processing Tra fish.

3. Exported Tra fish products must meet the following quality and food safety conditions for Tra fish products and the regulations of the importing country.

- Raw Tra fish for processing must be raised from a commercial Tra fish farming facility that meets the conditions specified in Article 3 of this Decree.- Tra fish products must comply with technical standards and regulations on quality and food safety.- The labeling of Tra fish products must comply with the legal regulations on labeling of processed food products.

In the event that the importing country has regulations different from the legal regulations of Vietnam, the regulations of the importing country shall apply.
