Conditions for Exemption from the Information Technology Course under the Secondary Education System

Circular No. 11/2018/TT-BLDTBXH has been issued by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs regarding the Informatics course program within the common subjects block in the training program for intermediate and college degrees.

Circular 11 stipulates that learners will be exempted from studying the IT subject if they have:

- A certificate of basic IT skills or an advanced IT skills certificate;- An IT certificate from a foreign organization used in Vietnam that meets the standards of basic IT skills or an advanced IT skills certificate.

According to Circular 11, learners who are enrolled in the compulsory lower secondary school graduation program must study the entire subject program. Learners who have graduated from upper secondary school may be considered by the Principal to be exempted from learning content that has already been studied in the upper secondary school program.
