Circular 22: Regulations on the Evaluation and Classification of Learning Units

Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Circular 22/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulating the assessment and classification of Learning Units.

According to Circular 22/2020/TT-BGDDT, assessment and classification of Learning Units are conducted as follows:

- The assessment and classification of Learning Units must be based on the results achieved according to the criteria stipulated in Article 5 of Circular 22/2020/TT-BGDDT.

- The assessment and classification of Learning Units are carried out by scoring method. The maximum total score for all criteria is 100.

Classification

- Good: Total score from 85 to 100;- Fair: Total score from 70 to under 85;- Average: Total score from 50 to under 70;- Not achieved: Other cases.

Note: The assessment and classification of Learning Units must follow the following procedure:

- Units organize self-assessment and classification based on the criteria stipulated in Article 5 of Circular 22/2020/TT-BGDDT and send self-assessment and classification results reports to the Department of Education and Training (for provincial units); the Division of Education and Training (for district units). The deadline for sending the self-assessment and classification report is no later than the first quarter of the subsequent year.

- The Department of Education and Training and the Division of Education and Training organize, inspect assessments and classification results of units and consolidate results to present to the Chairman of the People's Committee of the same level for recognition decisions and public announcement.

- The assessment and classification of Learning Units are conducted periodically once a year.
