Cases Required to Implement Electronic Border Procedures through the Portal

Circular 49/2017/TT-BQP has been issued by the Ministry of National Defense to provide guidance on the implementation of Decision 10/2016/QD-TTg on the implementation of electronic border guard procedures at seaports.

According to the regulations in Circular 49, individuals must perform electronic border guard procedures through the Information Portal in the following cases:

- The national single window information portal is experiencing issues.- Performing procedures for entry, exit, transit, or port transfer for:- Foreign vessels powered by nuclear energy or vessels carrying radioactive materials;- Foreign vessels arriving at the port to engage in activities such as scientific research, fishing, rescue operations, salvage of sunken assets, towing support within the marine port waters, cultural, sports, construction of marine structures, surveying, exploration, exploitation of resources, and other environmental activities in Vietnamese waters;- Sailing boats, sports boats, or yachts with a crew complement as regulated by maritime law.
