Business of Slaughtering Small-Scale Animals Must Have a Veterinary Hygiene Certificate

Small-scale animal slaughtering establishments without a valid Veterinary Hygiene Certificate shall be fined up to 4 million VND.

Violations related to the Veterinary Hygiene Certificate shall be sanctioned as follows.

1. A fine ranging from VND 3 million to VND 4 million shall be imposed on small-scale animal slaughter; initial processing, small-scale processing of animals and animal products; small-scale animal trade markets, and animal collection facilities for any of the following acts:

- Lacking a Veterinary Hygiene Certificate;- Using an expired Veterinary Hygiene Certificate.

2. Acts of buying, erasing, or altering the Veterinary Hygiene Certificate: A fine ranging from VND 4 million to VND 5 million shall be imposed.

3. Acts of establishments for egg incubation, production, and trading of breeding animals; animal and animal product quarantine zones; animal-derived feed ingredient production; export processing facilities for animals and animal products; animal and animal product trading establishments lacking a Veterinary Hygiene Certificate or using an expired Veterinary Hygiene Certificate: A fine ranging from VND 5 million to VND 6 million shall be imposed.

4. Acts of concentrated animal husbandry establishments; cold storage facilities for preserving fresh, initial-processed, and processed animals and animal products; veterinary testing, diagnostic, and surgical establishments lacking a Veterinary Hygiene Certificate or using an expired Veterinary Hygiene Certificate: A fine ranging from VND 6 million to VND 7 million shall be imposed.

5. Specialized animal trade markets; centralized animal slaughterhouses; processing establishments for animals and animal products for business lacking a Veterinary Hygiene Certificate or using an expired Veterinary Hygiene Certificate: A fine ranging from VND 7 million to VND 8 million shall be imposed.
