Airlines Must Declare Service Prices with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam

On May 3, 2019, the Ministry of Transport promulgated Circular 17/2019/TT-BGTVT regulating the price framework for passenger transportation services on domestic routes.

To effectively implement the regulations in Circular 17/2019/TT-BGTVT, airlines must fulfill the following responsibilities:

- Airlines shall specify the fare for each route or group of routes according to the method of diverse fare for each route and provide regular fare discounts for compatriots and soldiers residing in remote, isolated, border, and island areas.- Implement specific fare declarations with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and publicly announce fares in accordance with Circular 36/2015/TT-BGTVT and Circular 07/2017/TT-BGTVT.- In the event that airlines open new routes that have not been announced in the distance groups notified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, the airlines are responsible for reporting to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam for consideration and supplementary regulation of the new routes into the common distance groups before the airline declares fares with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
