Adjustment of administrative Boundaries of 03 Districts to Expand Bac Ninh City in Vietnam

Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 60/2007/ND-CP regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Yen Phong district, Que Vo district, Tien Du district to expand Bac Ninh city; establishing Vo Cuong ward under Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province in Vietnam

Decree 60/2007/ND-CP adjusts 1,963.45 hectares of natural area and 27,244 inhabitants of Yen Phong District (including the entire natural area and inhabitants of the communes: Hoa Long, Van An, Khuc Xuyen, Phong Khe); 2,190.45 hectares of natural area and 18,155 inhabitants of Que Vo District (including the entire natural area and inhabitants of the communes: Kim Chan, Van Duong, Nam Son); and 1,240.29 hectares of natural area and 14,783 inhabitants of Tien Du District (including the entire natural area and inhabitants of the communes: Khac Niem and Hap Linh) to Bac Ninh City for management.

Simultaneously, establish Vo Cuong Ward under Bac Ninh City based on the entire natural area and inhabitants of Vo Cuong Commune in Vietnam. To be specific:

- Vo Cuong Ward has a natural area of 795.36 hectares and 14,998 inhabitants.

- Administrative boundaries of Vo Cuong Ward: East borders Dai Phuc Ward and Khac Niem Commune; West borders Phong Khe Commune; South borders Lien Bao Commune; North borders Ninh Xa Ward, Kinh Bac Ward, and Khuc Xuyen Commune.

Thus, after the adjustment, the administrative boundaries of Bac Ninh City are as follows:

- Bac Ninh City has a natural area of 8,028.19 hectares and 150,331 inhabitants, with 19 administrative units including the wards: Dap Cau, Thi Cau, Vu Ninh, Suoi Hoa, Tien An, Ninh Xa, Ve An, Kinh Bac, Dai Phuc, Vo Cuong and the communes: Kim Chan, Van Duong, Nam Son, Hap Linh, Khac Niem, Phong Khe, Khuc Xuyen, Van An, Hoa Long.

- Administrative boundaries of Bac Ninh City: East borders Que Vo District; West borders Tien Du District; South borders Tien Du District; North borders Viet Yen District, Bac Giang Province.

- Yen Phong District remains with a natural area of 9,520.55 hectares and 121,860 inhabitants, with 14 administrative units including the communes: Dung Liet, Hoa Tien, Tam Giang, Tam Da, Yen Trung, Dong Tien, Thuy Hoa, Yen Phu, Dong Phong, Long Chau, Trung Nghia, Van Mon, Dong Tho and commune-level town Cho.

- Que Vo District remains with a natural area of 14,905.55 hectares and 140,022 inhabitants, with 21 administrative units including the communes: Viet Thong, Dai Xuan, Nhan Hoa, Bang An, Que Tan, Phu Luong, Phuong Mao, Viet Hung, Phu Lang, Ngoc Xa, Chau Phong, Cach Bi, Yen Gia, Dao Vien, Bong Lai, Mo Dao, Duc Long, Chi Lang, Han Quang, Phuong Lieu and commune-level town Pho Moi.

- Tien Du District remains with a natural area of 9,620.71 hectares and 119,721 inhabitants, with 14 administrative units including the communes: Phu Lam, Noi Due, Lien Bao, Lac Ve, Hien Van, Viet Doan, Hoan Son, Phat Tich, Dai Dong, Minh Dao, Tri Phuong, Canh Hung, Tan Chi and commune-level town Lim.
