From September 15, 2020, increase the level of financial support for occupational disease examination and treatment (Illustrative image)
Decree 88/2020/ND-CP stipulates the level of financial support for occupational disease examination and treatment as follows:
- Regarding the level of financial support for occupational disease examination:
The support level is 50% of the cost of occupational disease examination based on the examination price issued by the Minister of Health at the time the worker undergoes the occupational disease examination after health insurance has paid, but not exceeding 800,000 VND/person/examination. (According to Decree 37/2016/ND-CP the support level does not exceed 1/3 statutory pay rate/person/examination).
- Regarding the level of financial support for occupational disease treatment
- The support level is 50% of the cost of occupational disease treatment based on the treatment price at the time the worker undergoes the occupational disease treatment according to the regulations of the Minister of Health after health insurance has paid, but not exceeding 15,000,000 VND/person. (According to Decree 37/2016/ND-CP the support level does not exceed 10 times the statutory pay rate/person).
In addition, the current statutory pay rate is 1.49 million VND/month according to Decree 38/2019/ND-CP. From July 1, 2020, in Resolution 86/2019/QH14, the National Assembly has increased the statutory pay rate to 1.6 million VND/month.
However, in the early months of 2020, due to the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economic and social situation, the National Assembly decided not to adjust the statutory pay rate in the Resolution of the 9th session, 14th National Assembly.
Therefore, with the current statutory pay rate of 1.49 million VND/month, when applying the regulations in Decree 37, the support level for occupational disease examination is only 497,000 VND/person/examination. But from September 15, 2020, the support level for occupational disease examination has increased and fixed at 800,000 VND/person/examination.
Regarding the level of support for occupational disease treatment, with the current statutory pay rate of 1.49 million VND/month, when applying the regulations in Decree 37, the support level for occupational disease treatment is only 14.9 million VND, which is lower than the new regulation of 15 million VND. However, when the statutory pay rate of 1.6 million VND/month is applied, this new support level will be lower than the regulation in Decree 37/2016/ND-CP.
In addition, regarding the maximum number of support times, Decree 88/2020/ND-CP still maintains the same regulation as ND 37, which is the maximum number of support times for each worker is 02 times, and in 01 year only receives support 01 time.
