Calculation of Practical Experience Time for Issuing Construction Practice Certificates
Pursuant to Clause 5, Article 1 of Decree 100/2018/ND-CP:
Individuals are granted practice certificates when they meet the following conditions:
- Possess full civil act capacity as prescribed by law; have a residence permit or work permit in Vietnam for foreigners and overseas Vietnamese.
- Have the appropriate professional qualifications, time, and experience to participate in work relevant to the content of the practice certificate application as follows:
+ Class I: Have a university degree in a relevant major, with a minimum of 07 years of relevant practical experience in the content of the practice certificate application;
+ Class II: Have a university degree in a relevant major, with a minimum of 04 years of relevant practical experience in the content of the practice certificate application;
+ Class III: Have appropriate professional qualifications, with a minimum of 02 years of relevant practical experience in the content of the practice certificate application for individuals with a university degree; a minimum of 03 years of relevant practical experience for individuals with a college or intermediate degree.
- Pass the examination requirements for the field in which the practice certificate is being applied.
According to these regulations, in order to be granted a Class II construction practice certificate, you are required to have a university degree in a relevant major, which means you must hold a university degree.
Next, you must have a minimum of 04 years of relevant practical experience in the content of the certificate application. The 04 years of experience here is determined as 04 years of practical experience up to the point of submission for the practice certificate application. This experience can be from before earning your university degree, and it is not strictly required to count from the time of obtaining the university degree onward.
