What are the requirements for exporting radioactive sources?
According to Article 11 of Decree 142/2020/ND-CP (Effective from February 1, 2021), the export of radioactive sources must meet the following requirements:
- The radioactive source, source nuclear material, nuclear material, nuclear equipment must have documentation proving their origin.
- The packages containing radioactive sources, source nuclear material, nuclear material must be packed and labeled in accordance with regulations on the safe transportation of radioactive sources, source nuclear material, and nuclear material.
- In the case of exporting radioactive sources of Group 1, Group 2 according to QCVN 06:2010/BKHCN, nuclear material must have an import permit from the competent authority of the importing country.
