Vietnam: What are the regulations on investigation and collection of information and materials, and field survey on the national land use plan in the final period?

Investigation and collection of information and materials, and field survey on the national land use plan in the final period in Vietnam are stipulated in Article 13 of Circular 01/2021/TT-BTNMT as follows:

1. Analysis and assessment of natural conditions, resources, and environment:

a) Analysis of the characteristics of natural conditions;

b) Analysis of the characteristics of resources;

c) Analysis of the current state of the environment;

d) General assessment.

2. Analysis and assessment of the current state of socio-economic development:

a) General analysis of the current state of socio-economic development;

b) Analysis of the current state of sectoral and field development;

c) Analysis of population, labor, employment, income, and customs related to land use;

d) Analysis of the current state of urban and rural development and infrastructure development;

dd) General assessment.

3. Analysis and assessment of climate change impacts on land use:

a) Sea level rise, saltwater intrusion;

b) Desertification, erosion, land sliding.

4. Preparation of thematic maps.

5. Preparation of thematic reports.

6. Workshop and revision of reports and thematic maps after the workshop.

7. Evaluation and acceptance.
