Vietnam: Requirements on the area in bomb, mine, and explosive clearance

Under Clause 1 Article 6 of the Technical Procedures for Investigation, Survey, and Clearance of Bombs, Mines, and Explosives in Vietnam issued together with Circular 121/2021/TT-BQP (Effective from November 5, 2021) on the requirements for area, depth, and safety corridor in bomb, mine, and explosive clearance, the area is specified as follows:

- The usable surface area of the construction or project, comprising the entire or part of the area assigned for use rights (based on survey data and provided documents about bomb, mine, and explosive contamination). In cases where the terrain is uneven with a slope greater than 10%, the clearance area is calculated according to the terrain slope;

- The safety corridor area is specified in detail for each type of project, considering the importance of the project.
