Requirements for Environmental Protection in Active Industrial Clusters

According to Clause 2, Article 52 of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 (effective from January 1, 2022), operational industrial clusters must meet the following environmental protection requirements:

- Complete environmental protection infrastructure works as stipulated in Clause 1, Article 51 of this Law within 24 months from the effective date of this Law;

- Cases that have been exempt from connecting to the central collection, drainage, and wastewater treatment system must ensure that post-treatment wastewater meets environmental protection standards before being discharged into the environment; have a plan for preventing and responding to environmental incidents related to wastewater and possess an automated and continuous wastewater monitoring system as prescribed by law.
