Regulations on the Broadcasting Policies for Tropical Depressions, Storms, and Floods by Vietnam Television
According to Clause 2, Article 28 of Decision 03/2020/QD-TTg, there are regulations regarding dissemination policies for reports on tropical depressions, storms, and floods for Vietnam Television. Specifically:
- Upon receiving reports on near-East Sea tropical depression, tropical depression in the East Sea, near-East Sea storm, storm in the East Sea, flood warning reports, and flood reports, the organization shall broadcast the news in the nearest news programs on VTV channels and re-broadcast it every 3 hours until new information is available or upon request to change the broadcast time by the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;
- Upon receiving emergency tropical depression reports, landfall tropical depression reports, emergency storm reports, landfall storm reports, emergency flood reports, the organization must immediately broadcast the news on VTV channels and re-broadcast it every 2 hours until new information is available or upon request to change the broadcast time by the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;
- When replaying old news, the organization must reiterate the issuance time of the bulletin;
- When broadcasting news on natural disasters, it is required to fully and accurately convey the content, and a text summary of the main contents of the bulletin must be displayed on the screen.
