Emergency Response Plan for Facilities Using Medical Diagnostic X-ray Equipment and Other X-ray Emitting Devices

Section III Part II Appendix II Security Requirements for Radioactive Sources and Nuclear Material Transportation promulgated in accordance with Decree 142/2020/ND-CP stipulates the emergency response plan for facilities using medical diagnostic X-ray equipment and other X-ray emitting devices as follows:

  1. Legal basis.

  2. Responsibility for reporting incidents when individuals are overexposed to radiation.

  3. Incident conclusion report: Recipients, time of submission, contents of the report (corrective measures undertaken, consequences of the incident, radiation dose assessment, conclusions, and recommendations).

  4. Regulations on responsibilities, methods of dose assessment, and health monitoring of individuals overexposed to radiation.

Section II Part II Appendix II Security Requirements for Radioactive Sources and Nuclear Material Transportation promulgated in accordance with Decree 142/2020/ND-CP stipulates the emergency response plan for facilities using, storing, packaging, transporting radioactive sources of Group 5 as follows:

  1. Legal basis.

  2. Description of the type of radiation work of the facility; Risk analysis, situations related to loss of radioactive sources, and safety breaches involving radioactive sources.

  3. Incident response scenarios for each situation described in clause 2.

  4. Incident conclusion report: Recipients, time of submission, contents of the report (incident response activities, corrective measures taken, human consequences, environmental consequences, radiation dose assessment, conclusions, and recommendations).
