Information on the Composition of Substances on the Chemical Safety Data Sheet: What Does it Include?
Information on the composition of substances on the chemical safety data sheet is stipulated in Appendix 9 issued together with Circular 32/2017/TT-BCT on guidance of the Chemicals Law and Decree 113/2017/ND-CP guiding the Chemicals Law by the Minister of Industry and Trade, specifically:
It must display one or more of the following information:
Elemental Substance
- Chemical identification: Common name
- Other identifications of the product/chemical {CAS number; UN number (if any); EC registry number (if any)};
- Commercial name;
- Impurities and stabilizers influencing the classification of chemicals.
Chemical Mixture
Chemical identification, concentration, percentage concentration within a defined range of all hazardous substances above the regulatory threshold.
Note: Legal regulations on trade secret information (CBI) will take precedence when listing substance compositions.
