Guidelines for Recording Chemical Identification Codes
The method for recording the chemical identification code is stipulated in Appendix 8 issued along with Circular 32/2017/TT-BCT on instructions for the Law on Chemicals and Decree 113/2017/ND-CP guiding the Law on Chemicals issued by the Minister of Industry and Trade, specifically:
- The chemical identification code must be used on chemical labels and must match the symbol used on the Chemical Safety Data Sheet;
- The label for a compound must be able to reflect the chemical identifications of the compound. When risks contribute to acute toxicity, skin corrosion or serious eye damage, germ cell mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity, skin or respiratory sensitization are displayed on the label, the information for the mixture or alloy must reflect the chemical identifications of all components or alloy elements that can cause these risks on the label. When necessary, the competent authority may require the inclusion on the label of all components or alloy elements contributing to the risk of the mixture or alloy.
The above is advice on how to record the chemical identification code. For more detailed information, please refer to Circular 32/2017/TT-BCT. We hope that our advice will help resolve your concerns.
Wishing you health and success!
