Tasks of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster Response Plan

As specified in Section p, Subsection 5, Section III of the National Plan for Disaster Response to Earthquakes and Tsunamis accompanying Decision 645/QD-TTg in 2022, the tasks of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the disaster response plan for earthquakes and tsunamis are as follows:

p) Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism

- Direct relevant agencies, units, and enterprises under its management and cooperate with local authorities to develop plans and measures for disaster response at festivals, events, tourist attractions, cultural and sports centers... Integrate these into cultural, sports, and tourism frameworks aiming for safe and sustainable development of the sector;

- Direct relevant agencies, units to cooperate with the forces of various ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and local authorities to organize the evacuation of tourists, festival, and event participants, and workers in tourist areas, cultural and sports centers, festivals... at high risk of incidents to safe locations. Restore facilities, tourism activities, cultural frameworks and address arising issues within their authority.

Tasks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster Response Plan

As specified in Section q, Subsection 5, Section III of the National Plan for Disaster Response to Earthquakes and Tsunamis accompanying Decision 645/QD-TTg in 2022, the tasks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the disaster response plan for earthquakes and tsunamis are as follows:

q) Ministry of Foreign Affairs

- Take the lead in contacting countries and territories to coordinate support for Vietnamese people and means facing incidents when earthquakes and tsunamis occur at sea or land borders. Coordinate with relevant ministries, ministerial-level agencies in diplomatic procedures to support foreign people and means facing incidents when earthquakes and tsunamis occur at sea and in the territory of Vietnam;

- Coordinate with relevant ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and local authorities to strengthen cooperation in disaster response to earthquakes and tsunamis at sea and land borders... Advise the Government of Vietnam, the Prime Minister of Vietnam... and coordinate in granting permissions for foreign search and rescue forces to perform search and rescue operations within Vietnam's territory.
