Classification of Automatic and Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations
Classification of automatic, continuous ambient air quality monitoring stations stipulated in Article 29 of Circular 10/2021/TT-BTNMT. To be specific:
Automatic, continuous ambient air quality monitoring stations are classified according to specific monitoring purposes as follows:
- Ambient air quality monitoring stations: These are monitoring stations that comply with the provisions at Point a, Clause 1, Clause 2 of Article 30, and Article 31 of this Circular for the purpose of continuously and regularly monitoring the air quality at the monitoring locations and areas. Data from these stations is used to provide information to state management agencies and to regularly and continuously inform the public about air quality through the Air Quality Index (AQI).
- Reference monitoring stations: These are ambient air quality monitoring stations that do not fully meet the technical requirements stipulated in Point a, Clause 1, Clause 2 of Article 30, and Article 31 of this Circular. They are used for monitoring air quality for internal purposes, scientific research, and providing data for pollution calculation and forecasting models. Monitoring data is announced based on pollutant concentrations.
Sincerely.
