What is the content of legal education at the university level in Vietnam?

Article 23 of the Law on Legal Dissemination and Education 2012 stipulates as follows:

Content of legal education in educational institutions of the national education system

1. The content of legal education in educational institutions of the national education system is constructed to suit each education level and training degree, align with educational objectives, training professions, ensuring uniformity, coherence, generalization, fundamentality, practicality, and systematicity.

2. The content of legal education for each education level and training degree in the national education system is stipulated as follows:

a) Legal education content in kindergarten and primary education programs is integrated through moral education content, forming habits in accordance with social moral standards, discipline awareness, solidarity spirit, self-awareness, creating a premise for forming legal consciousness;

b) Legal education content in secondary and high school education programs equips initial knowledge about the rights and obligations of citizens, training habits, and awareness of respecting and complying with the law;

c) Legal education content in vocational and university education programs provides basic knowledge about the state and the law, and legal knowledge related to training professions.

The content of legal education at the university level involves providing basic knowledge about the state and law, as well as legal knowledge related to training professions.

What are forms of legal education in Vietnam?

According to Article 11 of the Law on Legal Dissemination and Education 2012, the forms of legal education include:

- Press conferences, press releases.

- Direct legal dissemination; consultation, guidance on understanding the law; provision of legal information and materials.

- Through mass media, loudspeakers, the internet, billboards, posters, propagandistic art; publication in the Official Gazette; posting legal information on electronic information pages; posting at the headquarters and bulletin boards of agencies, organizations, residential areas.

- Organizing legal knowledge contests.

- Through judicial proceedings, administrative violation handling, citizen reception activities, citizen complaint, and accusation resolution, and other activities of the state apparatus; through legal aid activities, grassroots mediation.

- Integrating in cultural, artistic activities, the living activities of political organizations and unions, clubs, legal bookcases, and other cultural institutions at the grassroots.

- Through legal education programs in educational institutions of the national education system.

- Other forms of legal dissemination and education suitable for specific objects that authorized agencies, organizations, and individuals can apply to ensure the effectiveness of legal dissemination and education activities.
