WRITING TECHNIQUES

Knowing how to capitalize common nouns in specific cases to show respect. Knowing how to correctly write people's names and foreign geographical names.

WRITING PARAGRAPHS, TEXTS

Writing Process

- Knowing how to write according to steps: determining the purpose and content of writing (why write, what to write about); observing and collecting materials to write; forming main ideas, outlining the essay; writing paragraphs, essays; editing (structure, word usage, sentence formation, spelling).

- Writing a clear and coherent paragraph or text that presents the topic and main information; matching the required style and type; having an introduction, development, and conclusion; linking sentences and paragraphs.

Practicing writing

- Writing a story recounting a read or heard story with creative details.

- Writing a description essay of a person or landscape using comparisons, personifications, and vivid expressions to highlight the described object's characteristics.

- Writing a paragraph expressing feelings and emotions before an event or a poem, story.

- Writing a paragraph stating reasons for supporting or opposing a significant phenomenon or event in life.

Based on Section II of the Annex on the General Education Program for Literature issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the regulations on building the grade 5 Vietnamese Language program is built as follows:

The Literature program adheres to the basic regulations outlined in the Overall Program, while emphasizing several perspectives:

[1] The program is built on theoretical and practical foundations, updating research achievements in education, psychology, and teaching methodologies for Literature; achievements in literary and linguistic research; the accomplishments of Vietnamese literature through different periods; experience in developing literature curricula in Vietnam, especially from the early 21st century until now, and international trends in curriculum development, particularly for Literature in recent years, especially the curricula of developed countries; the realities of society, education, economic conditions, and Vietnamese cultural traditions, focusing on the diversity of student backgrounds in terms of regions, conditions, and learning abilities.

[2] The program focuses on training communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) throughout all three educational levels to meet the competency-based program's requirements and ensure coherence and consistency across all grade levels.

Basic and foundational general knowledge of Vietnamese and literature is formed through the activities of learning and producing texts, directly serving the need to train reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

[3] The program is built with an open approach, reflected in not specifying detailed teaching content but only outlining the requirements for reading, writing, speaking, and listening for each grade level; prescribing some basic, core knowledge of Vietnamese, literature, and certain highly significant national literary texts that are mandatory for all students nationwide.

[4] The program simultaneously meets the demands for innovation while focusing on inheriting and promoting the advantages of existing Literature programs, especially the current program.
