- Recognize the main measures to build and consolidate revolutionary authority, solve difficulties in economics, culture, education, military, etc., in the first year after the August Revolution of 1945.

- Present key aspects of the resistance against French colonial invasion by the people of Southern Vietnam.

- Explain the causes of the outbreak of the national resistance against the French colonial invasion (1946).

- Identify and explain the resistance paths against the French invasion by the Communist Party.

- Describe the significant victories in military, economic, cultural, and diplomatic fronts in the resistance against the French.

- State the historical significance and causes of victory in the resistance against the French (1945 - 1954).

- Introduce the significant achievements in building socialism in North Vietnam (completing land reform, restoring and developing the economy, supporting the Southern revolution, resisting the destructive war by the American imperialists, etc.).
