Steps to apply for a residency confirmation certificate for online school admission application for your child are as follows:

Step 1: Log in to the Ministry of Public Security's Public Service Portal

Citizens can access the Ministry of Public Security's Public Service Portal at the following address: https://dichvucong.dancuquocgia.gov.vn

- Log in to the Ministry of Public Security's Public Service Portal at the top right corner if you already have a National Public Service Portal account.

- If you do not have an account, you must register.

Step 2: Select the procedure for confirming residence information

The procedure for confirming residence information is displayed right on the homepage; if not, you can search for it using the search bar.

Step 3: Fill in the information in the application

When applying for the residence confirmation certificate online, citizens still need to go to the police office to receive the results. Therefore, at this step, citizens should select the nearest police office (not necessarily the place of permanent residence).

- The declaration form for changing residence information is a mandatory document in the residence confirmation application. Citizens can download the declaration form for changing residence information, fill it out completely, and then upload it directly.

- Regarding the form of notification receiving: It is recommended to add the form of receiving through email for easy tracking.

- Note to specify the number of residence confirmation certificates needed.

Step 4: Submit the application

Check and review all the information filled in; it is mandatory to fill in all fields marked with a *. Finally, click Save and Submit the application.

What information is included in the residency confirmation for school admission application in Vietnam?

Based on regulations in Clause 2, Article 17 of Circular 55/2021/TT-BCA (amended by Clause 9, Article 1 of Circular 66/2023/TT-BCA), the content of the residence confirmation for school admission includes:

- Information about the current residence place, previous residence places,

- Duration of living at each residence place, form of residence registration

- Other residence information available in the Residence Database, National Population Database.

How long is the residency confirmation certificate valid for enrollment purposes in Vietnam?

According to the regulations in Article 17 of Circular 55/2021/TT-BCA (amended by Clause 9, Article 1 of Circular 66/2023/TT-BCA):

Confirmation of residence information

1. Citizens can request the residence registration authority nationwide, regardless of their place of residence, to confirm residence information through direct request at the office or through the public service portal, VNeID application, or other online public services as stipulated by law.

2. The content of residence information confirmation includes information about the current residence place, previous residence places, duration of living at each residence place, form of residence registration, and other residence information available in the Residence Database, National Population Database. The confirmation of residence information is valid for 1 year from the date of issuance. If there is any change or adjustment of residence information of the citizen, and it is updated in the Residence Database, the confirmation of residence information becomes invalid from the time of change or adjustment.

3. The residence registration authority is responsible for confirming residence information as requested by citizens. If the residence information to be confirmed is already available in the National Population Database, the processing time is no more than 1/2 working day. If the information to be confirmed is not available in the National Population Database or the Residence Database, the processing time is no more than 3 working days.

The residence information confirmation certificate for school admission application is valid for 1 year from the date of issuance.

In case the citizen's residence information changes or is adjusted and updated in the Residence Database, the residence information confirmation becomes invalid from the time of change or adjustment.
