CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVES
The Literature curriculum adheres to the fundamental regulations set out in the General Program, while emphasizing the following perspectives:
1. The curriculum is developed on theoretical and practical foundations, updated with research achievements in education, psychology, and teaching methods for Literature; research achievements in literature and linguistics; the achievements of Vietnamese literature over periods; the experience of developing the Vietnamese Literature curriculum, especially from the early 21st century to now and international trends in program development in general, particularly the Literature curriculum in recent years, especially in developed countries; social realities, education, economic conditions, and Vietnam's cultural traditions, particularly the diversity of student backgrounds in terms of regions, conditions, and learning capabilities.
2. The curriculum takes training communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) as the main axis throughout all three education levels to meet the curriculum's competency-oriented requirements and ensure holistic consistency throughout all educational levels and classes. Basic and foundational knowledge about Vietnamese language and literature is formed through teaching activities of text reception and creation; directly serving the requirement of training reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
