9 Groups of Criteria for Evaluating the Student Affairs in Intermediate Schools in Vietnam

Based on Clause 1, Article 23 of the Regulations on student activities in intermediate schools and colleges (Regulations) issued together with Circular 17/2017/TT-BLDTBXH, the criteria for evaluating student activities and their scoring scale are defined as follows:

Criteria for evaluating student activities and scoring scale

1. Evaluation of student activities in the School is conducted based on 09 groups of criteria and calculated on a 100-point scale. The specific point frame is as follows:

a) Group 1: Organizational system, management, and administrative work: 15 points;

b) Group 2: Student management work: 15 points;

c) Group 3: Career orientation, job counseling, and support, services activities for students: 10 points;

d) Group 4: Implementation of policies, policies for students: 10 points;

e) Group 5: Organizing cultural activities, arts, extracurricular sports, and movement activities among students: 15 points;

f) Group 6: Political ideology education, ethics, lifestyle, and evaluation of students' training results: 10 points;

g) Group 7: School health work: 10 points;

h) Group 8: Ensuring school security and order, traffic safety education, crime, and social evils prevention: 10 points;

i) Group 9: Encouraged achievements: 05 points.

2. The specific content of each group of criteria and the evaluation point frame are defined in the Appendix issued together with these Regulations.

Thus, the 9 groups of criteria for evaluating student activities in intermediate schools include:

- Group 1: Organizational system, management, and administrative work: 15 points;

- Group 2: Student management work: 15 points;

- Group 3: Career orientation, job counseling...: 10 points;

- Group 4: Implementation of policies, policies for students: 10 points;

If a intermediate school student's evaluation score in Vietnam is 75 points, what rank/grade will they be placed in?

Based on Clause 2, Article 24 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 17/2017/TT-BLDTBXH specifying the rating of student activities:

Rating of student activities

1. Rating of student activities in the School is based on the total points achieved from all the content in the evaluation criteria groups.

2. Student activities of the School are rated into 05 categories:

a) Excellent: Total points from 90 and above;

b) Good: Total points from 80 to less than 90;

c) Fair: Total points from 70 to less than 80;

d) Average: Total points from 50 to less than 70;

e) Not yet achieved: Total points less than 50.

The rating of student activities in intermediate schools is based on the total points achieved from all the content in the evaluation criteria groups.

Student activities in intermediate schools are rated into 05 categories:

- Excellent;

- Good;

- Fair; Total points from 70 to less than 80;

- Average;

- Not yet achieved;

Thus, if student activities in intermediate schools are evaluated with 75 points, they are rated as Fair.

What are the principles for evaluating student activities in intermediate schools in Vietnam?

Based on Clause 2, Article 22 of the Regulations on student activities in intermediate schools and colleges (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations) issued together with Circular 17/2017/TT-BLDTBXH, the principles of evaluation are as follows:

Principles of evaluation

1. Evaluation of student activities must ensure scientific, objective, public and reflect the true state of student activities in the School.

2. Evaluation and rating of student activities in the School is conducted by academic year; the evaluation period is calculated from September 1 to August 31 of the following year.

Thus, the evaluation of student activities in intermediate schools must ensure compliance with the principles of scientific, objective, public evaluation and reflect the true state of student activities in the School.

At the same time, the evaluation and rating of student activities will be conducted by academic year; the evaluation period is calculated from September 1 to August 31 of the following year.
