In Vietnam, taking care of the health, material and spiritual life of the people who have merits with the revolution and their relatives is the responsibility of the State and society.The following are incentives for people with merits to the revolution and their relatives.
What incentives do revolutionary people and their relatives enjoy in Vietnam? (Illustration)
1. Preferential policies for people with merits with the revolution and their relatives with the revolution in Vietnam
Depending on each target group in Vietnam, the person with meritorious service to the revolution and their relatives shall enjoy the following principal incentives:
- Monthly benefit, monthly allowance, lump-sum benefit;
- Other preferential regimes include:
+ Health Insurance
+ Nursing for health recovery;
+ Provide necessary orthopaedic aids, orthopaedic equipment, rehabilitation facilities and equipment as prescribed by the orthopaedic and rehabilitation establishments in the labor - invalids and social sectors or by provincial-level or higher hospitals;
+ Priority in enrollment, job creation;
+ Support to study to university level at educational institutions under the national education system;
+ Support housing improvement based on the labor and circumstances of each person or in case of housing difficulties;
+ Exemption or reduction of land use fees when the State allocates residential land, transfers the land use purpose to residential land, recognizes the right to use residential land, when buying houses owned by the State;
+ Priority shall be given to the allocation or lease of land, water surface and seawater; priority shall be given to the delivery of forest protection and development;
+ Preferential loans for production and business;
+ Tax exemption or reduction according to the provisions of law.
2. Some principles of preferential treatment of people with merits towards the revolution and their relatives with the revolution in Vietnam
- The preferential regime for people with merits with the revolution and their relatives must be determined and adjusted in accordance with the socio-economic conditions of Vietnam in each period; To ensure that the living standards of people with merits with the revolution are equal to or higher than the average level of the residential community in which they reside.
- Those who have meritorious service to the revolution belong to many subjects, they are entitled to allowances and allowances of many subjects; for the subsidies of service providers and preferential regimes specified in Clause 2, Article 5 of the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people who have meritorious service to the revolution, they shall only enjoy the highest level of preferential regimes.
- Their relatives in cases where they are entitled to additional monthly survivor's pension shall be entitled to a monthly survivor's pension.
