1. What is the Vietnam Rubber Association?

The Vietnam Rubber Association is an organization that gathers and represents businesses, organizations and individuals operating in fields related to Vietnam's rubber industry; it was established on a voluntary basis for the purpose of coordinating with effective operation and protecting the legitimate interests of members; it contributes to the economic and social development of the country; it protects the environment; and it promotes international cooperation relations and the rubber banking industry.

The purpose of the Association is to link, cooperate, and support each other in economic - technical areas of research, technology, planting, production, business, and services to enhance the value of products from rubber trees; represent and protect the legitimate interests of members; contribute to creating more jobs and improving the lives of workers.

2. Tasks of Vietnam Rubber Association

- Making recommendations to the State on the development strategy of the rubber industry and the necessary guidelines, policies, and measures to protect and encourage rubber producers, processors, and exporters (especially in the field of the processing industry and the rubber export market), while ensuring the interests of the State, society, and Association members.

- Participating in and making recommendations to state agencies on production and business objectives and directions; plans on investment, production, market, application of science and technology, finance, export, international cooperation and other related issues; solutions to stabilize market prices; building a risk support fund for Vietnam's rubber industry as assigned and authorized by competent state agencies.

- Organizing and coordinating activities of members in production, processing, business, research and application of science and technology, training, etc. to achieve the highest common efficiency and harmonize interests among members. Timely prevention of unfair competition activities and behaviors.

- Advising members on research, technology transfer, standardization to improve productivity, output, quality, product range, processing technology, environmental protection...

- Advising members on investment plans, markets, trade promotion, fairs, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, visits, and surveys
on the rubber industry at home and abroad to operate effectively.

- Organizing timely information for members about the market situation, economy, science and technology, law, domestic and foreign statistics through periodic newsletters, websites, seminars, conferences, and annual summary reports; exchanging information with international rubber organizations and countries on the principle of complying with the regulations of the State and the Association, ensuring national secrets, professional secrets, and the consent of members .

3. Powers of Vietnam Rubber Association

- Representing the Vietnam Rubber Industry to negotiate and sign documents suitable to the Association's function and operation in accordance with the law.

Organizing and attending conferences, seminars, visits, and surveys on the rubber industry of international organizations and other countries when the Association is allowed to participate by the state.

- Participating in and making recommendations to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Trade, and related ministries and branches on production, processing, business, import, and export management.
and policies related to Vietnam's rubber industry.

- Managing and using membership fees contributed by members in accordance with current regulations of the State and the Association; performing membership dues obligations to international organizations in case the Vietnam Rubber Association is a member of these organizations.

- The Vietnam Rubber Association is entitled to set up and use the insurance fund and support fund according to the regulations of the State and the Resolution of the Congress to help members maintain and develop production and business activities in the rubber industry.

- The President of the Association has the right to send members and staff of the Association to work at home and abroad according to the requirements of the work and according to the plan of the Association in accordance with the regulations of the State; nominate members and staff to participate in research programs, cooperation, and the transfer of science and technology at home and abroad in order to improve the efficiency of Vietnam's rubber industry.
