Fines for susceptible violations during implementation of Directive 16 of the Prime Minister of Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh will implement social distancing according to Directive 16/CT-TTg for 15 days starting from 00:00 of July 09, 2021. People should pay attention to the regulations on implementing measures to prevent Covid-19 under this Directive to avoid fines.

The table below is a summary of fines for a number of violations that people are susceptible to during the time of implementing social distancing under Directive 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister of Vietnam.

People are advised to stay home and only go out in strictly necessary cases such as: purchase of food, pharmaceuticals and other essential goods and services; emergency aid, medical services, acts of god, fire and funerals; working in state agencies and units, armed forces, diplomatic missions,...

Going out when not necessary

A fine ranging from VND 1.000.000 to VND 3.000.000 according to Point a Clause 1 Article 12 of the Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CD

Keep a distance of at least 02 meters when communicating

Close contact and communicate without a distance of at least 02 meters

A fine ranging from VND 1.000.000 to VND 3.000.000 according to Point a Clause 1 Article 12 of the Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CD

Do not form groups of more than 02 people in public spaces or outside office buildings or hospitals

Form groups from 03 people in public spaces or outside office buildings or hospitals

- Individual: A fine ranging from VND 10,000,000 to VND 20,000,000;

- Organization: A fine ranging from VND 20,000,000 to VND 40,000,000.
