Regarding this issue, LawNet would like to answer as follows:

1. Conditions for becoming member and membership structure of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry

- Members of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry include organizations and individuals that meet the conditions specified in this Article, agree to the Charter of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, voluntarily participate, and are admitted or invited under this Charter and the regulations of the Federation.

- Members of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry include official members, associate members, and honorary members:

+ Official members are businesses and business associations (industry associations with a nationwide or inter-provincial scope of operation, business associations of provinces and centrally run cities, other business associations and associations), economic)organizations, and professional organizations serving business activities that are registered and legally operating in Vietnam, and meet the conditions for official membership according to the provisions of the law on associations;

+ Associate members are businesses and other organizations registered and operating legally in Vietnam that are not eligible to become official members as prescribed in Point a of this Clause;

+ Honorary members are Vietnamese citizens and organizations that have made special contributions to the implementation of the tasks of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

2. Rights of members of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry

- Official members have the following rights:

+ Attend member conferences in the regions;

+ Attend the Congress if nominated by the conference of members;

+ Voting or voting at the Congress (for members who are official delegates to the Congress);

+ Be nominated or run for election to the Executive Committee;

+ Propose to the Congress, Executive Committee, and Standing Committee on the activities of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and issues of economic policy, law, and business environment;

+ Request the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support and protect legitimate rights and interests when being violated;

+ Enjoy consulting services, information provision, trade promotion, investment, image promotion, training, and other types of services and support that the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides with preferential, preferential, or free conditions;

+ Rewarded according to regulations of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry;

+ Stop being a member of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry if you are deemed unable or unwilling to continue participating.

- Associate members and honorary members have the following rights:

+ Attend member conferences in the regions;

+ Attend the Congress if nominated by the conference of members;

+ Propose to the Congress, Executive Committee, Standing Committee on the activities of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and issues of economic policy, law, and business environment;

+ Request the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support and protect legitimate rights and interests when they are violated;

+ Enjoy consulting services, information provision, trade promotion, investment, image promotion, training, and other types of services and support that the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides with preferential, preferential, or free conditions;

+ Stop being a member of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry if you are deemed unable or unwilling to continue participating.

3. Obligations of members of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry

- Official members and associate members have the following obligations:

+ Pay joining fees and membership fees according to regulations of the Executive Board;

+ Implement resolutions and decisions of the Congress and the Executive Committee;

+ Attend meetings convened or invited by the Executive Committee;

+ Unite and cooperate with other members to jointly implement the principles and goals of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry;

+ Protect the reputation of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry; do not represent the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in activities and transactions unless authorized in writing by the President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry;

+ Implement the information and reporting regime according to the regulations of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

- Associate members as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 13 of this Charter and honorary members have the following obligations:

+ Implement resolutions and decisions of the Congress and the Executive Committee;

+ Attend meetings convened or invited by the Executive Committee;

+ Unite and cooperate with other members to jointly implement the principles and goals of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry;

+ Protect the reputation of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry; do not represent the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in activities and transactions unless authorized in writing by the President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry;

+ Implement the information and reporting regime according to the regulations of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
