Vietnam: Organizing the commemoration of the establishment day and traditional day in the People's Public Security

Celebration of anniversary and traditional days within the People's Public Security

According to Circular 24/2024/TT-BCA of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, the principles for organizing the celebration of anniversaries and traditional days within the People's Public Security are as follows:

- Organize celebrations in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party, regulations of the State, and the Ministry of Public Security; suitable to the actual situation; ensuring significance, solemnity, thriftiness, efficiency, safety, and avoiding formalism;

- The scale of celebration is organized in ascending order: "other years," "5th anniversary years," "full anniversary years";

- The Ministry of Public Security organizes the celebration of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security in conjunction with the "All People Protect the Homeland's Security" festival; the People's Public Security Day of Learning and Practicing the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho in conjunction with the Traditional Day of Building the Forces of the People's Public Security;

- Traditional days of the forces: Celebrations are organized within units under the Ministry and vertically aligned forces in local Public Security units (with a common anniversary day of the force). Anniversaries and traditional days of local Public Security units are organized only within the internal scope of the local Public Security units;

- Organize anniversary celebrations in full anniversary years; in other years, based on requirements and tasks, if necessary, report to the Minister of Public Security to decide on the scale of the organization;

- Time of planning the organization of celebration activities:

+ Traditional Day of the People's Public Security and the "All People Protect the Homeland's Security" festival: For full anniversary years, issue the plan at least one year before the anniversary date. For 5th anniversary years and other years, issue the plan at least six months before the anniversary date;

+ The People's Public Security Day of Learning and Practicing the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho in conjunction with the Traditional Day of Building the Forces of the People's Public Security; traditional days of the forces; anniversaries, traditional days of local Public Security units: Issue the plan at least six months before the anniversary date;

+ Anniversaries and traditional days of political-social organizations within the People's Public Security; anniversaries and traditional days of district-level Public Security units: Issue the plan at least three months before the anniversary date;

+ Anniversaries and traditional days of commune-level, ward-level, and equivalent Public Security units: Issue the plan at least one month before the anniversary date.
