Recently, the Government of Vietnam has issued the Resolution No. 180/NQ-CP on the plan to support electricity price reduction and electricity bill reduction (phase 2) for electricity users.
According to the Resolution No. 180/NQ-CP, the Government of Vietnam highly appreciates the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Electricity for actively developing and proposing a plan to support electricity price reduction and electricity bill reduction (phase 2) for electricity-using customers to overcome difficulties in the context of the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Concurrently, based on discussions of members, the Government also agreed on a plan to support electricity price reduction and electricity bill reduction (phase 2) as proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam in the Report No. 919/BC-BCT dated December 01, 2020. Do not provide support to reduce electricity bills for establishments serving Covid-19 disease prevention and control collecting concentrated medical isolation fees as directed in Official Dispatch No. 7713/VPCP-KTTH dated September 15, 2020.
Note: The Ministry of Industry and Trade shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and relevant agencies in, implementing and ensuring that it is strictly and correctly targeted to the right subjects, and not to profiteering from policies.
