Vietnam: Local People's Courts need to urgently implement 05 requests for mediation and dialogue

In order to promptly implement the provisions of the Law on Mediation and Dialogue at Court of Vietnam and Circular No. 04/2020/TT-TANDTC, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court requests the Chief Justice of the People's Court of the district and the People's Courts of the province and relevant units of the People's Court to immediately perform the following tasks:

- Regarding training and fostering of dialogue and mediation skills: Make a list of cases who wish to receive training and fostering and send it to the provincial People's Courts to summarize and report to the People's Court before December 10, 2020;

- Regarding the procedures for selection and appointment of mediators: The Chief Justice of the People's Courts of provinces shall decide to appoint mediators after January 01, 2021 and before January 03, 2021;

- Regarding the public announcement of the list of Mediators: Comply with Clause 5 Article 6 of Circular No. 04/2020/TT-TANDTC;

- Regarding the addition of the number of mediators according to the payroll: The Chief Justice of the People's Court of the province shall summarize the needs and propose the number to the People's Court before March 31, 2021;

- Regarding the preparation of material facilities for mediation and dialogue: The district and provincial People's Courts proactively arrange the arrangement of facilities, conduct mediation and dialogue at the Court.
