Vietnam: Increase deposit insurance payment limit to VND 75 million

This is the main content of Decision No. 21/2017/QĐ-TTg on insurance payment limits issued on June 15, 2017 by the Prime Minister of Vietnam. According to this Decision:

- The maximum insurance amount paid for all insured deposits of 1 individual at 01 deposit insurance participating organization is adjusted: From VND 50 million VND 75 million.

- This insurance amount includes both principal and interest.

Thus, in comparison with Vietnam’s current regulations, the deposit insurance payment limit increases by VND 25 million.

Deposit insured person; organizations participating in deposit insurance; deposit insurance organization; other agencies, organizations and individuals related to deposit insurance activities will apply the above deposit insurance payment limit from August 05, 2017.
