Vietnam: 04 measures to prevent and control COVID-19 in schools

Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam has issued the Official Dispatch No. 5210/BGDĐT-GDTC on strengthening measures to prevent and control COVID-19 in schools.

According to the Official Dispatch No. 5210/BGDĐT-GDTC, in order to ensure school safety against the complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam requests Departments of Education and Training; colleges, academies, universities, pedagogical colleges and intermediate schools of pedagogy seriously implement measures to prevent and control the epidemic, in which the following contents should be noted:

- Strengthen communication of epidemic prevention and control measures for students, teachers, administrators and staffs in schools. Refrain from organizing mass gatherings unless absolutely necessary. Strictly implement the “5K Message”: Mask - Disinfection - Distance - Decentralization - Medical declaration;

- Ensure facilities, medical equipment and environmental sanitation at the schools such as: body temperature measurement equipment, disinfectant water, place to wash hands with clean water and soap, etc.;

- Strengthen the application of information technology in management, teaching and learning activities. Strictly implement the installation and deployment of the "COVID Safety" application (App);
