To postpone the union dues payment deadline for businesses in difficulty due to COVID-19 in Vietnam

On May 28, 2021, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued Official Letter 2059/TLD on postpone the payment deadline of union dues for businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam

According to the Official Dispatch, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation requested the provincial and municipal Labor Confederations; Central Sector Trade Union and equivalent; Trade Union of Corporations under the General Confederation of Confederation in Vietnam:

To approve the production and business enterprises affected by the Covid-19 epidemic (enterprises with the number of employees participating in social insurance must temporarily quit at least 50% of the total number of employees participating in compulsory social insurance) to postpone the time of paying union dues to December 31, 2021.

To review, identify and take responsibility for the decision for businesses affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in Vietnamto postpone the time of paying union dues.

To report the performance on the 10th of every month to the General Confederation of Vietnam (via the Finance Department).
