To continue supporting 90% of agricultural insurance premiums for poor and near-poverty households in Vietnam

Below is the remarkable content specified in Decision 03/2021/QD-TTg amending Decision 22/2019/QD-TTg on agricultural insurance assistance policies issued by the Prime Minister of Vietnam on January 25, 2021.

Clause 1, Article 1 of Vietnam's Decision 03/2021/QD-TTg amending Clause 1, Article 4 of Vietnam's Decision 22/2013/QD-TTg as follows:

Agricultural producers that are poor households or near-poor households, which are defined according to regulations of law on national multidimensional poverty criteria applicable to the 2021 - 2025 period, are entitled to a subsidy equal to 90% of agricultural insurance premiums.

Thus, from the effective date of this Decision, agricultural production individuals who are classified as poor or near-poverty households according to the poverty line for the period 2021 - 2025 will continue to receive 90% of the agricultural insurance premium support.

The implementation period for agricultural insurance premium support is from January 25, 2021 to the end of December 31, 2021.

The Ministry of Finance of Vietnam shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant agencies in, summarizing, evaluating and proposing the development of a draft Decision for the period after 2021.
