The election of People's Council deputies for the term 2021 - 2026 will not be held in districts and wards of Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang

According to the Directive No. 02/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister of Vietnam, to ensure the democracy, equality, lawfulness, safety, thrift of the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, truly as a festival of the whole Vietnamese People; to facilitate for People to fully exercise their right of mastery in selecting, recommending, and electing qualified, talented and worthy people to represent for People throughout the country at the National Assembly and the People’s Council at all levels, the Prime Minister of Vietnam directed that:

- The People's Committees of all levels shall, within the ambit of their tasks and powers, organize the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels in accordance with the direction of the Politburo and the election work plan of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee and the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister of Vietnam;

- The People's Committees of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang city, within the ambit of their tasks and powers, are responsible for implementing the National Assembly's Resolutions on the urban government organizational model. In which, in the districts and wards of Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and in the wards of Hanoi city, the election of People's Council deputies for the term 2021 - 2026 will not be held;
