Tasks and solutions to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector of Vietnam

This is a notable content of the Decision No. 216/QĐ-BVHTTDL on the promulgation of the Action Plan of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam to implement Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP dated January 01, 2021 of the Vietnam Government on main tasks and solutions for implementation of socio - economic development plan and state budget estimate of 2021.

According to the Decision No. 216/QĐ-BVHTTDL, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with concerned agencies and units in, effectively implementing the Politburo's Resolution on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, specifically implementing tasks and solutions as following:

- Focus on drastically implementing the tasks and solutions stated in Resolution No. 08/NQ-TW dated January 16, 2017, the Government's Action Plan and the Action Plan of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam to implement Resolution No. 08/NQ-TW and conclusions and direction of the Prime Minister.

- Deploying the Tourism Development Support Fund into operation. Proposing a management model for the National Tourist Area.

- Continue to renew awareness and thinking about tourism development:

+ Strongly renovate tourism development thinking according to the law of market economy, meeting the requirements of developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector;

+ Raise the awareness of people, businesses and communities in civilized and tourist-friendly behavior, and protect the image and environment, contribute to sustainable development, and constantly improve their reputation, brand and attractiveness of Vietnam tourism.

- Improve institutions and policies for tourism development.

- Developing tourism human resources.

- ….
