Support for travel expenses for relatives searching for martyr's graves up to VND 3.4 million per person

This is a new point stipulated in Circular 298/2017/TT-BQP guiding the implementation of policies and ensuring work for organizations and individuals performing the task of searching and gathering martyrs' remains.

Family members or individuals responsible for the worship of martyrs' graves are provided with travel expense support (both departure and return) based on the distance from their residence to the units where the martyrs participated in their work; specifically:

- Under 100km: 150,000 VND/person;- From 100 – under 300km: 300,000 VND/person;- From 300 – under 500km: 500,000 VND/person;- From 500 – under 1,000km: 800,000 VND/person;- From 1,000 – under 1,500km: 1,100,000 VND/person;- From 1,500 – under 2,000km: 1,500,000 VND/person;- From 2,000km and above: 1,700,000 VND/person;

The support level applies once a year, with each occasion supporting no more than 3 people. Additionally, family members searching for martyrs' graves are also provided with one day's meal allowance at a rate twice the basic meal allowance for non-commissioned officers and infantry soldiers, with a maximum support duration of 5 days.

Circular 298/2017/TT-BQP came into effect on January 16, 2018; the policies were implemented from September 10, 2017.
