Standards for Correctional Police Officers at Mandatory Educational Institutions

The Ministry of Public Security issued Circular 31/2016/TT-BCA stipulating the duties of the Correctional Police at compulsory education facilities, effective from August 25, 2016.

Correction:Police guards in compulsory education institutions must meet the following standards:

- Have political qualities, thoroughly understand the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party, the laws of the State, and have professional expertise;- Graduated from intermediate level or higher from Police, Security schools, or other sectors; if graduated from institutions outside the People’s Public Security, they must undergo a security or police training course.

Every 2 years, Police guards must attend examinations and training in law, psychology, education, and police expertise organized by the Director.

Each compulsory education institution is organized with a Police Guard Team. In the case of compulsory education institutions with multiple subdivisions, each subdivision establishes a Police Guard Unit.
