the Government of Vietnam has just promulgated Decree 138/2018/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 65/2016/ND-CP stipulating business conditions for automobile driver training services and driver testing services.

In this Decree, it is stipulated that driving practice vehicles must meet the following standards:

- Equipped with 02 "DRIVING PRACTICE" signs at the front and rear of the vehicle according to the model prescribed in Appendix II of Decree 65/2016/ND-CP;- Have equipment to monitor the time and distance of practical driving lessons on the road by the learner; have an auxiliary brake system installed to ensure quick effectiveness;- Arranged with a seat for the practical driving instructor, a driving practice truck with a roof to cover from rain and sun, seats for learners, and a valid certificate of technical safety inspection and environmental protection for motor vehicles.
