Regime and Policies for Family Members of Non-commissioned Officers and Active Duty Soldiers

Relatives of non-commissioned officers and soldiers on active duty are provided with emergency hardship allowances in the following cases:

- An allowance of VND 3,000,000 per time per case when the house of the non-commissioned officer or soldier on active duty meets with an accident, fire, or natural disaster leading to the house being collapsed, washed away, burned, or relocation of residence, or significant economic losses due to damage of property;

- An allowance of VND 500,000 per relative per time when the relative of the non-commissioned officer or soldier on active duty is ill for 01 month or more or undergoes treatment at a hospital for 07 days or more;

The emergency hardship allowance in these 02 cases is applied no more than 02 times per year for one non-commissioned officer or soldier and no more than 02 times per year for each relative of the non-commissioned officer or soldier.

- An allowance of VND 2,000,000 per person when the relative of the non-commissioned officer or soldier on active duty dies, goes missing, or is declared dead.

And several other policies for non-commissioned officers and soldiers on active duty such as leave, exemption from remittance and parcel charges, issuance of postal stamps, deferment of loan repayment and no interest calculation for loans from the Social Policy Bank, and priority policies in admissions...

Decree 27/2016/ND-CP takes effect from June 01, 2016, replacing Decree 122/2006/ND-CP and Decree 88/2011/ND-CP.
