Prohibiting Officials from Consuming Alcoholic Beverages During Lunch Breaks

The Prime Minister has just issued Directive 26/CT-TTg on September 5, 2016, to enhance discipline and order in state administrative agencies at all levels.

Request officials (CBCC), public employees (VC) and laborers to:

- Comply with hierarchy, discipline, and administrative order, and practice proper authority in performing tasks and duties;- Seriously execute assigned work and tasks, without delay or omission of assigned duties; not shirk responsibility or evade work; wear officials and public employees, staff badges when performing duties;- Strictly adhere to ethical regulations and the communication culture of officials and public employees (CBCC, VC);- Do not engage in personal activities during working hours;- Conduct oneself in accordance with meeting culture;- Refrain from smoking in the workplace, meeting rooms, and auditoriums;- Strictly prohibit the consumption of alcohol, beer, and alcoholic beverages during working hours, lunch breaks on working days, and on-duty days;- Not enter casinos for gambling under any form.- Prohibit officials and public employees (CBCC, VC) from exploiting their functions and duties to cause harassment, trouble, or seek profit when handling and resolving tasks related to citizens and businesses.
