Procedures for issuance and supplementation of technical safety and environmental protection inspection templates for motor vehicles in Vietnam

The procedures for issuance and supplementation of technical safety and environmental protection inspection templates for automobiles; trailers, semi-trailers towed by automobiles in Vietnam includes the following contents:

* Procedure for implementation:

- Submission of administrative procedure dossier:

The inspection unit requests the provision of inspection templates through the Public Service Portal and the electronic one-stop information system of the Ministry of Transport from the 15th to the 20th of the last month of each quarter.

- Resolution of administrative procedure:

+ The Vietnam Register shall base on the needs and inspection capacity of the inspection units to send inspection templates via public postal service or directly issue them to the inspection unit. The implementation period is from the 23rd to the 30th of the last month of each quarter.

+ In case of a request for supplementation, the inspection unit requests the provision of additional inspection templates through the Public Service Portal and the electronic one-stop information system of the Ministry of Transport according to the prescribed form. The Vietnam Register shall send inspection templates via public postal service or directly issue them to the inspection unit within 15 days from the date of receipt of the request for additional inspection templates.

* Method of implementation: Online via the Public Service Portal and the electronic one-stop information system of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam.

* Components and number of dossiers:

- Components of the dossier: Request for the provision of inspection templates according to the prescribed form.

- Number of dossiers: 01 set.

* Time limit for resolution:

- In case of a request for new issuance: from the 23rd to the 30th of the last month of each quarter.

- In case of a request for supplementation: within 15 days from the date of receipt of the request for additional inspection templates.

* Subjects of administrative procedure: Organizations, individuals.

* Agency implementing administrative procedure:

- Authority competent to resolve: Motor vehicle inspection unit;

- Agency or individual authorized or assigned to implement: None;

- Directly implementing agency: Motor vehicle inspection unit;

- Coordinating agency: None.

* Result of administrative procedure: Inspection certificate (including Blank: Inspection certificate, Inspection seal; Vehicle dossier sheet).

More details can be found in Decision 1117/QD-BGTVT, which comes into force in Vietnam from October 1, 2024.
