Prime Minister Orders Implementation of Absolute Security and Safety Measures for the 2024 High School Graduation Examination

To successfully organize the 2024 high school graduation examination and university and vocational education admissions, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam requires the Ministry of Public Security to direct the police units and local law enforcement to closely coordinate with the education sector and related agencies and units to implement absolute security and safety measures for the high school graduation examination; to prevent, detect and promptly handle any violations of the law and the use of high technology devices for cheating in the high school graduation examination.

Additionally, in Directive 15/CT-TTg dated May 16, 2024, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam also requires the Ministry of Education and Training to fulfill the following tasks:

- Issue documents for guidance and implementation of the plan to organize the high school graduation examination and university, college admissions for Early Childhood Education; ensure the exam questions are of high quality, appropriately differentiated, absolutely safe, and accurate to meet the requirements of the high school graduation examination;

- Proactively cooperate with ministries, central authorities, and local authorities to organize the high school graduation examination and promptly address arising issues;

- Continue to enhance the application of information technology to serve the organization of the high school graduation examination ensuring compliance, accuracy, and safety; cooperate with the Ministry of Public Security and local authorities to direct and implement solutions to prevent and combat negative behaviors, particularly the use of high technology for cheating in the high school graduation examination;

- Focus on directing the organization of the high school graduation examination; proactively conduct inspections, oversight, and monitoring of the high school graduation examination and university, college admissions for Early Childhood Education;

- Quickly develop specific plans to organize exams and recognize high school graduation for students who have studied the 2006 General Education Program but have not graduated in the 2024 high school graduation examination in an effective manner, reducing state budget expenditure.
